Brandi Hosford
Physical Therapist, PT, DPT, SCS, OCS, MDNC Sports Medicine Program Director

Brandi is a residency-trained, dual board-certified sports and orthopedic specialist physical therapist in the greater area of Chicago, Illinois. She provides physical therapy services and is
the acting Sports Program Director at the Achieve Orthopedic Rehab Institute. She is very passionate about treating all types and levels of athletes, striving to reduce injury risks and promote safe return to sport. Brandi has experience working within professional athletics,
having previously been the Head Physical Therapist for the Chicago Wolves (AHL) in affiliation with the Carolina Hurricane (NHL), and regularly volunteers with various national governing bodies such as US Gymnastics and US Figure Skating. In residency training, Brandi also worked alongside US Olympic Team Physician Dr. Mark Hutchinson, serving various US athletes, assisting in the treatment of MLB athletes such as the Chicago White Sox, and assisting in
the management/rehab of various Division I Athletics at the University of Illinois Chicago. Brandi also previously lead concussion clinic with NorthShore sports neurologist Dr. Anthony Savino, ensuring safe return to sport post head injury and pre/post-concussion screenings for all levels of athletics. Outside of the clinic, Brandi enjoys collaborating with various elite-level athletes/organizations to provide strength and conditioning programs, injury prevention services, and medical event coverage. Brandi also enjoys staying active! She is an avid weight lifter and runner. She also enjoys traveling in her free time with family and friends.
Dr. Hosford received her bachelor's in exercise science and doctorate in physical therapy from St. Ambrose University in 2019. During her time there, she was an All-American Track and Field Athlete and an assistant track and field coach, and she assisted in running the St. Ambrose Pro-Bono Physical Therapy Clinic. Post-graduation, she worked at Loyola University Medical Center for 2
years, where she gained experience working in acute ICU step-down, trauma, and transplant units, as well as outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine. She received mentoring in sports
and concussion management and eventually became a lead therapist for both programs at their Burr Ridge location. During this time, Brandi also volunteered to work as part of the inpatient
and outpatient COVID-19 treatment teams. In 2021, Dr. Hosford participated in an Orthopedic Residency Program at the University of Illinois-Chicago. During this time, she also participated in the education/learning experiences of the sports residency program. This included acting as lead physical therapist for the
Interdisciplinary Concussion Clinic and assisting with the care of the student-athletes. In 2023, Brandi became a core faculty member of the Illinois Bone and Joint Physical Therapy Orthopedic Residency Program, where she assisted in program development and lecturing. Dr. Hosford continues to guest lecture and mentor for various Doctor of Physical Therapy Programs and Orthopedic/Sport Residency Programs at UIC, Midwestern University, St. Ambrose University, Lewis University, etc.
